Policies

At Atlas Logistics, we aim to provide reliable, transparent, and efficient shipping services for both private customers and businesses. To ensure a smooth process for everyone, please review our policies before using our services.

Shipping & Import Policy

Atlas Logistics assists customers with the receiving, handling, and import of packages and goods to Suriname. We do our best to make the shipping process simple and clear, but shipping times may vary depending on suppliers, carriers, customs processing, flight or vessel schedules, and other factors outside of our control.

Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed unless clearly stated in writing.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when using our services. This includes names, contact details, invoices, item descriptions, supplier information, and any other documents required for processing.

Atlas Logistics is not responsible for delays, additional charges, or failed processing caused by incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information provided by the customer.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

All shipments entering Suriname may be subject to customs duties, taxes, handling fees, or other government-related charges. These charges are determined by the relevant authorities and are the responsibility of the customer.

Atlas Logistics may assist with guidance where possible, but we do not control customs decisions, customs values, inspection outcomes, or government-imposed fees.

Prohibited & Restricted Items

Customers may not ship items that are illegal, unsafe, or restricted by law, airline rules, carrier regulations, or customs authorities. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Illegal substances or controlled goods

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Hazardous or flammable materials

  • Explosives or chemicals

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Items without proper documentation

  • Products restricted by customs or transport regulations

Atlas Logistics reserves the right to refuse, hold, or return any shipment that does not meet legal or safety requirements.

Package Handling

We handle packages with care and make every reasonable effort to protect shipments while they are in our possession. However, Atlas Logistics is not responsible for damage caused by poor supplier packaging, manufacturing defects, carrier handling before arrival, customs inspections, or events outside our control.

Customers are encouraged to request proper packaging from suppliers, especially for fragile, valuable, or sensitive items.

Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Shipments

In the event of a lost, damaged, or delayed shipment, customers should contact Atlas Logistics as soon as possible with all relevant shipment details.

Claims will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Compensation, if applicable, may depend on the shipment type, declared value, available documentation, carrier responsibility, and whether insurance or special handling was requested.

Atlas Logistics is not liable for indirect losses, missed deadlines, loss of business, or personal inconvenience caused by shipping delays.

Payments & Fees

All shipping fees, handling fees, customs charges, taxes, and other applicable costs must be paid before packages are released, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Business customers with recurring shipments may qualify for special rates or custom payment arrangements, subject to approval by Atlas Logistics.

Package Collection & Storage

Customers will be notified when their package is ready for pickup or delivery. Packages should be collected within the stated collection period.

If packages remain uncollected for an extended period, storage fees may apply. Atlas Logistics reserves the right to take further action for abandoned packages after reasonable notice has been given to the customer.

Refund Policy

Shipping and handling fees are generally non-refundable once a shipment has been processed or shipped. Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds are not provided for delays caused by customs, suppliers, carriers, incorrect customer information, unpaid fees, or circumstances outside the control of Atlas Logistics.

Privacy Policy

Atlas Logistics respects your privacy. Personal information submitted through our website, contact forms, or during the shipping process is used only to communicate with customers, process shipments, provide quotes, and complete logistics-related services.

We do not sell customer information. Customer details may only be shared with trusted partners, carriers, customs agents, or authorities when necessary to complete shipping services or comply with legal requirements.
